🎵 Dirt Road
Who hasn’t paused to picture how life might have unfolded if a different road had been taken years ago?
Confession: I made out with most, ok nearly all, of my guy friends in high school and college, and some of the girls too 🤷🏼♀️
I met one of those friends in fifth grade at Camp Westwind during Oregon’s Outdoor School, when our elementary schools were combined. We stayed connected through high school, grew close in college, and even now there’s still a kind of shorthand between us that only comes from so much time exploring outside together.
This song was inspired by the many literal and figurative dirt roads we explored over the years, and the one we didn’t. But more than that, this song is meant to connect with the universal feelings of gratitude and nostalgia that many of us have about the friendships that shaped us.

Every time I pass a dirt road I haven't been down I think of you You'd wanna see The far side of those trees Explore the unknown Make a picture or two You and I Are dirt road We didn't go down _______ B.
